Welcome to Poyang Orphanage dot com.  The purpose of this site is to be a gathering place for those families that are blessed to have adopted from the Poyang Orphanage in the Jiangxhi province of China.  Our hope is that families will be able to collect information about the orphanage and connect with other families that have adopted children from Poyang.

Please take a moment and fill out a note on the contact page so that we will have a record of all those folks that are interested in this site.  I doubt that very many people will stumble on to this site.  Most that venture here, do so with a purpose.  For the most part, that purpose links us all.

These are great sources of information on the orphanage and other.  We have had a couple of fund raising projects for the orphanage through the Yahoo group.  We were able to raise the funds to buy water heaters for the orphanage to be able to give the children warm baths each day.

I have also started a google map that can be used to see the current locations of children that have been adopted from Poyang.  You must be a member of the Yahoo group to view the map or add your child's information to the map.

This is my first attempt at a web site.  Please be patient as I learn.

I need to clarify something.  This website is not associated in any way with the orphanage.  I am a parent of a girl from the orphanage.  I have  high hopes of some day being a direct link to the orphanage and possibly even providing a means of helping those that mean so much to me and my family.  For now though, this is strictly a source of information and a meeting place for those who have or will adopt from the orphanage.
